What is Flame Painter?
Although Flame Painter isn’t likely to be the replacement of your daily photo editing software, like Photoshop, it is a great addition to your toolset. Flame Painter works with particle brushes to easily create original artwork, light effects, unconventional designs and fantastic backgrounds. Flame Painter brings your particle brushes to life, as they vibrate, move, swirl and fade.
Whether you’re a professional graphic designer, CG artist, or are just starting out in the creative world – this is a must have tool. Flame Painter is also recognized within the photography world as a predominant software. The Royal Photography Society Journal stated it to be “one of the world’s top painting applications”. The Photoshop User magazine noted that “You owe it to yourself to check out Flame Painter, and unleash your inner creative dragon!”
What are the key features of Flame Painter?
Particle Brushes
The particle system of Flame Painter sets itself apart from any other software you may have used in the past. You are able to adjust almost any parameter of your brush including; brush size, blending, opacity, shape, particle system, fuzziness and so on. This diversity allows you to create classic light effects, as well as organic brush strokes or textured shapes. One thing you can know for sure, is that every brush stroke you make will be both unique and eye catching. By default, the ‘Flame’, ‘Follow’ and ‘Ribbon’ particle systems are included, but additional others can be added to suit your needs.

The ‘Flame’, ‘Follow’ and ‘Ribbon’ particle brush are included in the default package. The ‘Liner’, ‘Elastic’ and ‘Fuzzy’ particle brushes are available for purchase as add-ons.
Editable Vector Brush Strokes
Another unique element of Flame Painter 4 stand is the fact that the brush strokes follow vector paths. This therefore allows you select your brush strokes as a vector path and change the particle effects. Changing the look and feel of your brush strokes has never been easier! You are also able to import vector images in .SVG format from your favorite editor, such as Illustrator.

Photoshop Plug-in
Although Flame Painter 4 exists as a standalone application, if you use Photoshop you can integrate both softwares with ease. This is done using the Photoshop plug-in: Flame Painter Connect. With this plug-in, you’re able to exchange layers across both Flame Painter and Photoshop, helping you to streamline your editing process. The plugin is compatible with Photoshop CC 2015 and newer versions.
The brush creator
The advanced Brush Creator tool allows you to both edit and customize the included brushes, as well as create your own brushes from scratch. It comes with a wide range of adjustable parameters giving you almost limitless possibilities when deciding how your brush looks and performs.
